Maycee just went in for her 6th month appointment (she will actually be 7 months on Monday) she weighs 13.4 lbs now and everything looks great. We have started her on rice and oatmeal along with some sweetpotatoes and pees and an occasional watermellon. Some days she loves it, and other days she just wants to blow bubbles and spit it back on me.

Our own Olympic star
So Tyler decided that he wanted to teach Maycee some tricks. I get scared to death every time he does this but Maycee seems to love it which only eggs Tyler on even more. I guess we have our own Olympic star in the making.

Say Cheese!
I took Maycee to Babies R Us the other day because they were having a huge sale and I wanted to see if there was anything good for us to buy. Some girls from Kiddie Kandids came up to us and asked if they could take some pictures of Maycee because she was so smiley and cute, they would also give me a free 5x7. If you know me, you know I LOVE freebees so we jumped on that. Maycee was all smiles until we put her down on the table to get her picture. The poor photographer did everything she could think of to get a smile out of her, but Maycee had such a serious look the entire time. Finally they blew a little air in her face and we were able to capture this. As soon as I picked her back up the smile returned.

Where has the summer gone?
I can't believe that we are already well into August. It's gone by fast, but this summer has been pretty fun. We've spent quite a bit of time swimming, and Maycee LOVES the water! She learned how to kick her feet while Mom was out here visiting and it is so cute. We have been lucky to have quite a few visits from family and that has been fun, along with a visit up to Utah to see our new nephew Ammon, and a first camping trip for both Maycee and Rambo up to Beaver mountain for the Andrus reunion. Maycee is getting more and more curious about things and is so much fun.
