One day as I was picking the toys up off the floor,
I noticed a small hand print on the wall beside the door.
I knew that it was something that I'd seen most every day,
but this time when I saw it there I wanted it to stay.
Then tears welled up inside my eyes, I knew it wouldn't last
for every mother knows her children grow up way too fast.
Just then I put my chores aside and held my children tight.
I sang to them sweet lullabies and rocked into the night.
Sometimes we take for granted,all those things that seem so small

Maycee turned 1 year old on Sunday! I can't believe how fast time has flown by and how big my little baby is getting. We love her more and more each day, she is truly our little miracle. Happy Birthday Maycee!
I made Maycee a My Little Pony Cake. I think the only person who ate all of the frosting was Maycee...the rest of us couldn't handle all of the sugar.

Great job on the cake, Katie! Time flies... Looks like Maycee is enjoying being 1. ;) I hope you had a great birthday in December, too. My friend, Lora, had her baby on Brooks' birthday, so now it's easy to remember Maycee's and Logan's (Lora's boy) birthdays. ;) Let us know when would be a good day/time to stop by -- we still want to bring those candles to you. :)
